It’s has been a while since I last talked about packed lunches so I thought I would share with you this picture:
I usually count two tortillas per adult for lunch but as I was running out of wraps, I thought I would big up the filling to compensate for the lack of carbohydrates. Here you can see, as well as the base I usually spread on the wrap, home-cooked ham, grated carrots, chopped pickled gerkins and cubed cheddar cheese. It was a bit of a squeeze but I managed to close the wrap. I don’t quite like shop-bought ham. I find it too thin… and too expensive. When I cooked ham next, I will take some pictures and show you how I cook it and what I do with it afterwards. So, stay tune!
The expiry date on my tortilla wraps is approaching, so I’d better start using them. If stored in your cupboard too long, they become dry and will rip easily. So, not good if you are having lunch next to your keyboard or your newly printed report! Continue reading
