I thought I would take pictures of my making scones to follow on my post on scones a little while back. This was quite a tricky exercise as I did not want to put any flour on my camera. But, this does not explain why things were wrong.
I rarely follow recipes. I usually read them to give me ideas of what ingredients go together, etc. or sometimes, when I do know a recipe, I remember the quantities incorrectly. Like adding 90g of butter instead 30g to 200g of flour for scones. The result was fine. It just tasted completely different. And, after adding clotted cream, they became really unhealthy.
Apart from that, I am quite a good cook really. Maybe I should write a post on kitchen disasters. This would keep you entertained.
