When I do the washing, I regularly find myself with odd socks…. how on earth they manage to disappear, I am still to work that one out….!
Anyway, I have a dedicated basket (remnant from a flower arrangement) where I place any socks that cannot be matched with their other ones. Then, when the basket is full, I empty it on the bed and try and match the socks together, replacing in the basket any socks that still cannot be matched. Eventually, odd socks that cannot be reunited with its other half will be used for cleaning tasks around the house. For example, odd socks are useful when cleaning/polishing shoes. Push your hand inside one sock like you would with a glove and this becomes a very good polishing tool.
