How to remove a raw plug from a wall

If you are trying to remove a raw plug from a wall, read my tips below.

If a raw plug is no longer required, it is best to remove it before decorating as it will often protude slightly.

The easiest way I found was to re-insert the screw, tighten it a couple of turns using a screwdriver and pull with a hammer like you would if it was a nail. Tip: to avoid the hammer marking or damaging the wall, place a small piece of wood or metal underneath. If the screw comes off without the raw plug, tighten further so that the screw goes further inside the raw plug/wall and try again.

If you do not have a hammer, try using pliers instead.
